^lAlthough PICT Control is enormously flexible, there are some limitations that you should bear in mind before making any plans. • PICT Controls are button-style controls. There is no facility for controls that have multiple components like the thumb, scroll arrows and page up/down regions in a scroll bar. Any click anywhere on a control is handled the same way as any other. • PICT Controls always occupy a rectangular area. So, although the image representing the control may be any shape, the control will always be hit-tested, drawn and hilited over the entire rectangle that bounds the control. • PICT Control titles are always drawn in the center of the control, which, for some control designs, may not be the most useful position. So, if centering doesn’t suit your purposes, you may wish to incorporate the labels for the controls into the pictures themselves. This makes the titles static, but enforces no limits whatsoever on the placement, typeface, size, etc. of the title. [It may, however, hinder the translation of your application into other languages.]
